It's the perfect place to walk, cycle, run, or walk the dog. You can follow the Taff River south to Cardiff Bay or North all the way up to Pontypridd. 

It has some lovely cafe's where you can relax and enjoy a coffee, an ice cream, or some lunch by the river. 

The famous Cardiff Castle is 0.9m / 20 minute walk from Maindy House. 

The Castle grounds are open free to access and open to the public. The perfect place to enjoy on a sunny day or bring a picnic. 

The Principality Stadium in Cardiff City Centre is 1.2m / 25 minute pleasant walk through Bute park from Maindy House. 

The stadium is spiritual home of Welsh rugby and one of the most famous sporting arenas on the planet, envied the world over for its cauldron-like atmosphere and state-of-the-art facilities.

Roath Park and Lake is a is one of Cardiff's most popular parks. It stands in a beautiful location at the centre of this busy capital city and is a stunning sight at day and night. The park still retains the classic Victorian Park atmosphere and perfect for a walk, sitting and reading a book, or enjoying a lunch or coffee in the cafe.

Cardiff University is a top 'Russell Group' UK University with 37,000 students and 7,000 staff. 

The University has an impressive range of new and old buildings all within a 10 second (yes, 10 second - directly opposite Maindy House) and a few minutes walk from Maindy House. 

The house is perfect for parents, grandparents and other family and friends visiting students of visitors of the University. 

Cardiff University's Social Sciences Research Park sits on the other side of the road to Maindy House - 1 minute walk. 

It's the first social sciences park in the world, home to a range of world-leading research institutes and facilties.
